1. Inquire about the price BEFORE You Take Public Transportation…

– If you are planning on touring the place you are currently visiting, be sure to check the price of the transportation so that you won’t have a problem.

2. Bring personal hygiene in Your Carry-on bag…

– you should bring Personal Hygiene for you to be prepared in whatever situation you are in. For you to survive in emergency situations.

3. Carry a basic first-aid kit.

Accidents happen so be prepared. I take band-aids, antibacterial cream, and ointments for minor cuts and scrapes. You never know when you’re going to need it and you can’t always get it when you travel.

4. Put Your Room Number & Hotel Address in Your Phone

-You should take note of your Hotel Address and your hotel number  so that you wont be lost in the city your touring in.

5.Ask The Locals

We always ask the locals to point us to the best restaurants, awesome spots to watch the sunset, the best coffee shops, etc. I do like to tell people what type of food I’m craving though. I’ve been led to some interesting restaurants that wouldn’t have been my first choice.

6. Keep an Open Mind

Don’t judge other customs. You are a visitor. Be respectful. Learn to accept their culture and traditions.

7.Don’t be afraid to use a map.

-Looking like a tourist isn’t as bad as getting really lost and ending up in the wrong neighborhood. Don’t be afraid to use a map or ask for directions and look like a tourist. After all, you are one! I always use a map when I travel. It helps you get to where you need to go!

8.Learn basic phrases in the native language of your destination

-The locals will appreciate it and it will make your interactions easier. You don’t need to master the language but learning a few things like “Hello,” “Goodbye,” “Thank you!”, “Where’s the bathroom?” will go a long way to endearing yourself with the locals. They’ll like that you tried.
